The Forgotten Apology

You never say you’re sorry

You never say congratulations

You never give compliments

You never show support

You never acknowledge when you’re at fault

You never acknowledge the pain you’ve caused

You never say good job

You never give a round of applause

Though you think you mean well

You never think before you speak and act

Though you call yourself poking fun

It does get old and you end up hurting someone

I don’t want gifts

I don’t want a card

I don’t want to hear how my silence has broken disregard

All I want is an apology for all the wrong you have done

And though I’ve moved forward and carried on with my day

Though as time goes on I find myself being rather okay

Just thought you should know

That saying sorry would go a long way
